Arte Freelance was founded in 2020 to help illustrators and visual artists turn their craft into a sustainable income. These Terms of Service govern your use of the Platform and are designed to protect your work, your earnings, and your creative livelihood. Because your portfolio is your business, we keep account termination, content removal, and data handling transparent and fair. By using Arte Freelance, you agree to the following terms.
- Account Termination – We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our policies, including but not limited to fraud, misrepresentation, or failure to pay fees. You will receive a written notice via the email on file and have 14 days to respond. Terminated accounts forfeit any pending balances unless the termination was in error. Appeals can be submitted through the Contact Us page.
- Content Removal by You – You own your portfolio and may remove any piece of content at any time. Removed content is made inaccessible within 24 hours, but copies may persist in backups for up to 60 days. If you delete your account, all portfolio content will be removed within 30 days. We recommend archiving your own copies before deletion.
- Content Removal by Us – We may remove content that violates our content guidelines, intellectual property rights, or that threatens the income of other artists (e.g., stolen work, impersonation). You will be notified and given a chance to appeal. If removal is due to a DMCA claim, we follow standard takedown procedures; repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.
- Data We Collect – We collect only what’s necessary to run the platform: name, email, payment info, portfolio metadata, and usage analytics. We never sell your personal data. Your earnings history is private to you and our payment processor.
- Data Storage & Security – All data is stored on US-based servers with encryption at rest and in transit. We retain your data as long as your account is active. After termination or account closure, we delete identifiable data within 90 days, except where required by law (e.g., financial records for tax purposes, retained for 7 years).
- Your Data Rights – As a US user, you can request a copy of your data, ask for corrections, or request deletion at any time. These requests are processed within 30 days. For detailed instructions, see the Data Privacy section on the Contact Us page.
- Changes to These Terms – We may update these ToS to reflect new features, legal requirements, or feedback from creators. Material changes will be announced via email and on the platform. Continued use after 30 days means you accept the new terms. If you don’t agree, you may close your account.
